All three patients had, in addition, clinical and radiological evidence of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia; open lung biopsy in two showed coexistent features of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia and bronchiolitis obliterans. The association of both rheumatoid disease are chronic eosinophilic pneumonia with bronchiolitis obliterans in these patients may simply be coincidental, but the striking similarities between the cases suggest that a real interrelationship of these disease entities may exist.
